Gundam
Modern launch · ground floor for new collectors

Gundam, 1989 and 2025.

Bandai has launched two distinct Gundam card games 36 years apart. We carry the new one (Beginning Set, 2025) and a handful of the old Bandai Carddass collection cards from 1989–1992.

Where the run starts

The current Gundam Card Game launched May 2025 with the 144-card Beginning Set. It's a new game, not a re-skin of an older line — gameplay is built around pilot/MS pairings and the energy economy is closer to Final Fantasy TCG than to early Bandai card games.

What makes the era special

We're calling it now: Beginning Set will be the line's Base Set in retrospect. Print run is generous (this isn't a scarcity play), but the first-run secret rare RX-78-2 with pilot Amuro Ray is a confident bet on becoming the run's signature card. Foils are restrained — Bandai didn't chase the rainbow-foil arms race.
